Crépine Uwashema has been a lawyer at the Dutch-speaking bar in Brussels since 2013 and joined Jus Cogens also in that year as a trainee of her colleague Christophe Marchand.
In the early years of her career, Crépine Uwashema specialised in criminal law in the broadest sense and in international public law.
Over the years, she has developed a large experience and interest in cases concerning, among others, racial and gender discrimination, international criminal law, Human Rights, European and International arrest warrants, terrorism related cases, financial criminal law and drug related cases.
In addition to a Master’s degree in law (VUB), Crépine Uwashema also holds a Master’s degree in public international law (ULB).
She assists perpetrators or victims of crime at all stages of criminal proceedings and at earlier stages. She pays particular attention to a human and precise assistance in each case.
Maitre Uwashema is also a member of the association Fem&L.A.W. since 2019.
