Léo Fastenakel is a lawyer at the Brussels Bar since 2018.
He has a Master’s degree in law (2014 – Université Libre de Bruxelles – Grande distinction) and a Master’s degree in European law (2016 – Université Libre de Bruxelles – Grande distinction).
Prior to his admission to the bar, he worked as a legal advisor in the Joint Support Service of the College of Public Prosecutors and the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Léo Fastenakel practices criminal law and criminal procedure in all their dimensions on a daily basis. In particular, he has developed his expertise in matters relating to judicial and police cooperation (European arrest warrant, extradition, Interpol litigation).
The defence of human rights is the cornerstone of each of his interventions.
Concerned about the accessibility of justice to all, he devotes part of his activity to the beneficiaries of free legal aid.
